Easy Chicken Cacciatore Recipe
This is an easy chicken cacciatore recipe that anyone can make in the slow cooker or crockpot. You only need 6 ingredients.
I prefer dark meat so I generally use chicken thighs. It's better to skin the chicken first coz otherwise, the dish is too oily. You can almost always substitute chicken breast for thighs.
If you do not want to skin the chicken, then I would put the onions and green peppers at the bottom and sit the chicken on top.
Easy Chicken Cacciatore Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 10 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 (28 ounces) jar of your favorite pasta sauce
- 2 green peppers, seeded and diced
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 diced onion
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- salt and pepper for seasoning
DIRECTIONS:
- Season chicken with some salt and pepper
- Put chicken in the slow cooker.
- Top with the spaghetti sauce, green bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 9 hours or on high for for 4-5 hours.
- Serve with Pasta.
