Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Beef Stroganoff is very flavorful and yummy. And you can make it in your slow cooker or crockpot!
For a healthier version, use low sodium, fat free beef broth and low fat sour cream.
Beef Stroganoff Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 1/2 lbs round steak, cut into 1/2 inch strips
- 1/4 tsp flour
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 (8 oz) carton of fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup canned beef broth
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 pkg dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup sour cream
DIRECTIONS:
- In a plastic bag, mix flour, seasoned salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Toss meat strips in flour mixture until coated.
- In the slow cooker pot or a skillet, brown meat in hot oil.
- Add mushrooms and brown lightly.
- Remove from heat.
- Transfer to crockpot if needed and stir in broth, water, and onion soup mix.
- Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
- Stir in sour cream.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for another 30 minutes.
- Serve over hot noodles.
