Hot Honey Spareribs Recipe
This Hot Honey Spareribs recipe makes sweet and spicy spareribs. The degree of spiciness is entirely up to you.
Picante sauce is a hot and spicy sauce, most often tomato-based. "Picante" means "pepper hot"!

Hot Honey Spareribs Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 3-1/2 to 4 pounds pork baby back ribs, cut into 1-rib portions
- 2 cups bottled picante sauce or salsa
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat broiler.
- Place ribs on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.
- Broil 6 inches from the heat about 10 minutes or until brown, turning once.
- Transfer ribs to a slow cooker or crockpot.
- In a medium bowl combine picante sauce or salsa, honey, cornstarch and ginger.
- Pour sauce over ribs.
- Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 7 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 to 3-1/2 hours.
- Skim off fat from sauce, if desired.
- Serve sauce with ribs.
