  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Place ribs on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.
  3. Broil 6 inches from the heat about 10 minutes or until brown, turning once.
  4. Transfer ribs to a slow cooker or crockpot.
  5. In a medium bowl combine picante sauce or salsa, honey, cornstarch and ginger.
  6. Pour sauce over ribs.
  7. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 7 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 to 3-1/2 hours.
  8. Skim off fat from sauce, if desired.
  9. Serve sauce with ribs.
